Banana Exportation: Over 34 Per cent Spike Recorded

Recent data published by the Ca­ meroon Banana Association (ASSO­ BACAM) has revealed a 34.1 per cent surge in banana exports in July 2026. The reports revealed that ASSOBACAM shipped a total cargo of 20,577 tons to the international market, marking a Cameroonian ex­ port peak of 15,336 tons of bana­ nas. Relative to July 2025, July 2026, was driven by robust perfor­ mances from all three producers. According to the data, the sales chart was topped by the French company “Compagnie des bananes de Mondoni” (CDBM), with a land­ mark record of 96.6 per cent ac­ crued between July 2025 and July 2026, recording progress from 1,685 to 3,313 tons respectively. “Plantations du Haut Penja” (PHP) followed suit with 33 per cent boosted exports.
