North West: PIC Takes Good Governance Message To Christians

The meeting with some Christians is part of the PIC 2026 outdoor sensitization to faith-based organisations.
I t was clear a message to Christians of the Cameroon Baptist Convention (CBC) Nkwen on August 20, 2026 to ensure their full participa tion as citizens in council ac tivities. A team from the Office of the Public Independent Conciliator for the North West Region led by Research Officer Yang Francis engaged the Nkwen CBC Christians fully in discussions aimed at im proving participation and good governance in councils around the region. The discussions featured presentations, a question and answer session aimed at enabling the Chris tians to know their basic rights and responsibilities. The team from PIC enlightened the Christians on information re lating to the creation and functioning of the Office, the role and responsibilities of ci tizens, councils regarding to development and complaints management procedure in the office of the PIC. The Chris tians were enlightened on who can complains, how to go about it. One of Shepherds of the flock, Rev. Kulka Collins, acknow ledged that the meeting with Christians was indeed worth the wait. “Personally I have been well informed on how I can better relate with PIC of fice, how they can help me to be able to channel com plaints that relate to my func tioning as a community sta keholder in Bamenda,” said Rev Kulka.
