Cameroon-Israel: Cooperation Ties Appraised

T he forty-year bilateral relations between Ca­ meroon and the State of Israel has been appreciated at the National Assembly. This was during an audience the House Speaker, Theodore Da­ touo granted the outgoing Is­ raeli Ambassador, Amnon Kal­ mar on September 24, 2026. The diplomat who has come to the end of his diplomatic assignment in the country went to bid farewell to the legislator. Indeed, a State din­ ner was already offered in his honour last September 16 by the Minister of External Re­ lations, on behalf of the Head of State, where he was raised to the dignity of Grand Officer of the National Order of Valour and offered the sculpture of a royal palm. In his statement to the press, the outgoing Ambassador said diplomatic relations between the two countries are good to the extent that the me­ mories he has of Cameroon are wonderful. “I found a very nice country, nice people and more importantly, a very good relation between Cameroon and Israel since 1986, We now celebrate 40 years of the bilateral relationship bet­ ween our two countries and I am sure this good, strong and warm relations will be the same for the future.
