A philanthropic association working against autism has set up the shop for the public to make purchases, whose profit will help the needy
The quest for funds to finance trainings to overcome autism, which prompted Centre Orchidée Home (COH) in Bonamoussadi, Douala, to set up a shop enters its second week this week since its launch on April 19.
A good portion of the public stream into the Immeuble Ibanne in Bonanjo to discover “La Boutique LucO” while also making purchases. The initiative is a continuation of activities marking the World Day for Sensitisation on Autism celebrated last April 2.
One of the buyers told Cameroon Tribune yesterday that the shop has become a preferred place for her and family to buy quality textile designs and ready-made clothes, most especially as a way to salvage the children who need help from society.
The shop has been established and furnished with the assistance of goodwill individuals, tailors, artists and structures including the securing of the shop by the President of the center, Marie Mélanie Bell. Nicely designed clothes my hand and machine and books beautifully made are sold at give-away prices. Another advantage is that potential buyers have the final choice to make after having keenly examined to confirm their taste.
