Buea: Third Floor Building Collapses

The incident occurred midday Tuesday sparing human life

 

The population of Buea lived another horror, 25 April, when part of a prominent super market on the Molyko main street collapsed by midday bringing down its cement bricks freshly mounted to establish third floor rooms.
The incident happily spared human life but crushed a greater part of the famous Heartland Supper market building. Cameroon Tribune met the owner of the building who was still in disbelief and refused to comment about the incident.
However, spectators met on the scene were speculating on the quality of engineering and architecture. Some curious persons even touched and cracked the fallen fragile cement bricks exclaiming at the visible poor texture.
This other incident resurfaces the debate on the quality of buildings in Buea where many are reaching out to the sky with structures do not respect Town Planning norms.
