Buea: Verifications On Provisional Electoral List Ongoing

V oters in Buea municipality are streaming into the premises of Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) Buea Council Branch office situated near the court to verify the provisional electoral list posted there. The list received in Buea on October 13, 2026, was posted in accordance with Section 78 (2) of the Electoral Code. It states that after keying in, carrying out technical checks and drawing up the provisional electoral register of the Division, the Head of the Divisional Branch of Elections Cameroon shall forward the corresponding electoral registers to the Council Branches concerned for posting up no later than October 20. ELECAM Buea Council Branch has 66 628 registered voters and 213 polling stations. On October 27, 2026, the Head of Buea Council Branch of ELECAM, Barrister Daniel Njie Mokake Junior, said a good number of electors who verified their names left satisfied as there was no issue.
