Professional League : MTN Renews Business With Cameroon Football

A protocol agreement will be signed by the two parties today in Yaounde.

The mobile telephone company, MTN, has decided to renew partnership with the Professional Football League of Cameroon. A ceremony to officially launch the new partnership MTN Elite Football will take place in Yaounde today. The return of MTN as sponsors of the first and second division championships will help solve financial problems facing professional football in the country since its creation. Financial problems have equally been the cause of the mediocre performance of clubs in the championship. MTN however is not a new comer as far as football in Cameroon in concerned. In 2002 the mobile telephone company acquired official sponsoring of the men's First and Second Division football championships and the Cup of Cameroon.
