South West: Armed Forces, Parties On Rehearsal Tracks

Display practical is ringing bells across the South West synchronised from the Regional capital.

The various sectors are putting their hands on the plough to ensure a feasted National Day in the South West Region come May 20,2017.
In Buea, administrative authorities began holding coordination meetings since one month ago. The armed forces, made of the military, the Gendarmerie, the Police and other uniform-wearing services are sweating out in march-past rehearsals, which enter the second week today. School milieus are revisiting their old methods of march- past. The rest of the citizenry is observing the quake, reminiscing Cameroon history and situating the event to be marked in its 45th edition next Saturday. The 2017 National Day is anticipating an added pump in the South West Region where the past six months of ghost towns and difficult-school-return have kept authorities working round the clock to restore order.
The South West Governor has been multiplying coordination meetings to tighten up security and roll out activities for 20 May. The gendarmerie, military, police, penitentiary administration, customs, forest guards, and ex-service men in their ranks and prerogatives are being watched since last week flexing muscles, exercising their ankles for arms swinging and measuring their marching steps.   Since last week, the ceremonial ground at Clerks Quarters in Buea has been witnessing march-past practice by the men and women in uniform along the boulevard in front of the presidential tribune.
