Power Supply: Americans Discuss With PM Yang

The Prime Minister also received in audience the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs on June 29, 2017.

The President and Chief Executive Officer of the American power supply company, General Electric for Africa (GE Africa), Jay Ireland led a delegation to the Star Building on June 29, 2017 for talks with Prime Minister Philemon Yang on priority sectors where the company could continue investing in Cameroon. At the end of the working session, he told the press that they talked about hydro power and other areas in which the company can work together in Cameroon including healthcare, transport and civil aviation. Mr Jay said they were pleased with the meeting and stated that his company is looking at a number of projects in Cameroon in different spectrums of hydro power and thermal power. The purpose of the working session was to listen to priorities and approach to development of Cameroon, ongoing projects in railway transportation, power generation, aviation and healthcare and discuss where the company could deepen its activities.
