Parliamentary Cooperation, Decentralisation: Cameroon, Morocco Take Greater Engagement

Within the framework of strengthening relations between Cameroon and Morocco, the Senate President, Aboubakary Abdoulaye on June 12 granted an audience to Ambassador Abdelkader Jamoussi with discussions focusing on enhancing parliamentary cooperation and exchanging expertise on accelerating decentralisation. To the Ambassador, as Head of Mission, his mission is to consolidate relations and improve the level of exchanges and cooperation between the two countries at the economic, political and parliamentary levels. This courtesy visit was thus intended to strengthen the bonds of friendship and brotherhood that unite Cameroon and Morocco, particularly their respective parliamentary institutions. It also provided an opportunity to explore ways to further enhance cooperation and exchanges between the two countries in the political, economic, and parliamentary spheres. Discussions focused on several strategic areas, notably the shared commitment of both parliamentary institutions to usher in a new phase of collaboration, both bilaterally and at the continental level.
