Road Construction In Fako Division: Traditional Rulers Express Gratitude

Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute on July 3, 2026 received some Chiefs who thanked government for the start of construction works on 11km road linking Buea and Limbe.

The Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute on July 3, 2026 granted audience to a delegation of traditional rulers from Fako Division of the South West Region who came to show appreciation following the start of the construction of an alternative road linking the cities of Buea to Limbe. The stretch is 11km long, passing through four villages, namely; Na’anga, Bwassa, Likombe and Mapanja. Construction works are programmed for a 12- month timeframe at a financial cost of over FCFA two billion. It is therefore the Chiefs of the aforementioned villages that came to the Star Building to thank the government and also extend a motion of support to the President of the Republic. Speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers, the Chief of Likombe, Luma Francis Ndumbe said they are happy that construction works have effectively commenced.
