He was installed by Minister Joseph Beti Assomo on February 28 following his appointment by the President on Wednesday February 21, 2018.
Brigadier General Bitote André Patrice was yesterday February 28, 2018 commissioned as Director General of the International School for Security Forces, EIFORCES. He was installed by the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defense, Joseph Beti Assomo, who doubles as Board Chair of the institution.
General Bitote André Patrice was appointed by Decree N° 2018/160 of 21 February 2018 by the President. Before his appointment, he was Central Director of Administration and Logistics at the National Gendarmerie.
He replaces General Jules César who was appointed Commander of the newly created Fifth Gendarmerie Region of the North West and West region with Command Post in Bamenda.
Commissioning the Director General at the EIFORCES campus at Awaé on the outskirts of Yaounde, Minister Beti Assomo urged him to ensure his establishment contributes immensely in peace support operations and the protection of territorial integrity.
Acknowledging the challenges accompanied with the position, the Minister Delegate encouraged General Bitote André to ensure the realization of the objectives of EIFORCES which is training and research on the maintenance of peace.
The Director General was advised to facilitate the completion of some additional training structures at the institution which has been referred to by the United Nations as a reference for research.
Appreciating his appointment, Brigade General Bitote André who was described as a man of moral and professional integrity by Minister Beti Assomo, said he will not disappoint the confidence bestowed on him by the Head of State.
He promised to work in collaboration with the population, defense and administrative authorities to promote national security, peace and the spirit of togetherness. The 53year old Director General said he will use his expertise in conflict management for nation building.
