Olembe Stampede : Indomitable Lions Donate To Bereaved Families

Following the Olembe stampede that took place during the eighth final match between Cameroon and Comoros on January 24, 2022 at the Olembe Stadium, the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon promised to support the families of the victims. The Indomitable Lions have kept their promise. A ceremony to officially hand over a cheque worth FCFA 50 million to the eight bereaved families took place at the headquarters of FECAFOOT in Tsinga, Yaounde on Friday June 10, 2022. This was in the presence of the President of FECAFOOT, Samuel Eto’o in the company of players of the national team represented by team captain, Vincent Aboubakar and André Onana.
Speaking at the occasion, Samuel Eto’o extended condolences to the bereaved families on behalf of the Indomitable Lions. He assured them that the lives that have been lost will forever be remembered and that they will be part of all the victories that the Lions will go out for.
