PFL Africa: Alain Majorique Reaches Final

Team Cameroon faced a tough evening on October 18, 2025, with five fighters competing, but only Alain Majorique securing a win in the Professional Fighters League (PFL) Africa semifinals which took place in Kigali, Rwanda. He triumphed over Guinea’s Mohamed Camara by unanimous decision, earning a spot in the featherweight final scheduled later this year in Benin. Notably, the bout between Majorique and Camara was initially set as an alternate fight, but due to both Patrick Ocheme and Abdoul Razac Sankara missing weight in their original featherweight semifinal, this fight was elevated to replace it. Other Cameroonian fighters were unsuccessful despite their efforts. Maxwell Djantou Nana, who had shown exceptional power in previous fights, was defeated by Justin Clarke via TKO (verbal submission due to strikes) in the third round of their Heavyweight semifinal. Despite dominating early, Djantou Nana was overwhelmed in the final moments after Clarke landed critical low kicks and a decisive left hand, prompting the referee to stop the fight.
