Cameroon-Italy: Highway Development Plan Envisaged

E fforts to strengthen collabora­ tion between Cameroon and Italy in advanced road develop­ ment are in high gear. This was the focus of the audience granted by the Minister of Public Works, Emma­ nuel Nganou Djoumessi, last Friday September 25, 2026 in Yaounde to the Italian Ambassador to Cameroon, Natalie Sanginiti. Speaking shortly after the meeting to the press, the Italian diplomat revealed plans to deepen bilateral relations through major infrastructure projects and technical partnerships that secure operational opportunities for Italian firms along Cameroon’s major highway corridors. According to Natalie Sanginiti, her diplomatic visit also aims to extend cooperation into higher education that would establish a working part­ nership with the National Advanced School of Public Works (NASPW). To her, the proposed collaboration targets university training with modern en­ gineering standards, allowing stu­ dents to benefit from Italian technical expertise.
