Indomitable Lions : Re-strategising For Better Performance

After their seemingly difficult match with Comoros, the team rested yesterday while brainstorming on how they will tie their loose ends to face Gambia in the quarterfinals.

The Indomitable Lions are in the quarterfinals of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations. But they moved to this very important stage of the competition after a very complicated atmosphere characterised by their relatively “poor” performance against Comoros and the tragic incident which occurred before the match. In a communique made public yesterday, January 25, 2022, the Lions extended their condolences to the bereaved families while calling on fans to be disciplined and on security forces to be more alert. 
The team rested yesterday but the day, we learned, was marked by the visit of the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi who went to share with the Lions, the sad feelings of Cameroonians following the tragic incident. We equally gathered that a minute of silence was observed in memory of the dead ones. Minister Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, we learned, used the opportunity to extend the Head of State’s congratulations to the Lions following their qualification for the quarter-finals.
In the face of all these adversities, the Lions will have to look back at what happened on January 24, 2022 and produce results that will be heart-soothing. They rested yesterday to recover before they begin bracing up for their next task; which is Gambia in the quarterfinals.
