National Assembly: Modern Complex Project Discussed

The bureau of the National Assembly has set up commissions to search for the suitable site.

The project to construct a modern complex that befits  Cameroon’s National Assembly has resurfaced and was discussed during the bureau meeting of the House on July 8, 2017, just a day after the official closing of the June ordinary session of the 2017 legislative year.
The Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Cavaye Yeguie Djibril chaired the bureau meeting that took place behind close doors. At the end of the meeting Hon. Awudu Mbaya Cyprian, one of the four Questors in the House told journalists that bureau members deliberated on the project of the modern structure that has not yet materialised due to the economic situation of Cameroon. « We have had the opportunity that the Chinese government has availed itself to construct for us a modern structure that befits the National Assembly of Cameroon, » Hon.
