Yaounde 7 Subdivision: Chantal Biya Expresses Full Love

Her charitable association (CERAC) yesterday handed over gifts to the population of Nkolbission in the Mfoundi Division of the Centre Region.

October 19, 2017 will remain a memorable date in the lives of inhabitants of the Nkolbisson neighbourhood in the outskirt of Yaounde. They did not just hear about the humanitarian activities of the Circle of Friends of Cameroon (CERAC) over the media, but were direct beneficiaries of the First Lady’s largesse through CERAC. In her capacity as the personal representative of Mrs Chantal Biya, First Lady of Cameroon, Founding President of CERAC, Mrs Marie-Thérèse Abena Ondoa, Minister of Women’s Empowerment and the Family, who is also Vice President of the College of Councillors of CERAC, handed over the Nkolbisson Government Bilingual School Complex, revamped by CERAC. It was also an occasion for CERAC to offer gifts to 21 primary schools of the Yaounde 7 subdivision as well as Rural Women and Youths of Mfoundi Division, Centre Region. Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Director of the Government Primary School Minkoameyos A, Daouda Kapen Tengan, said they were grateful and happy because CERAC’s gesture will ease teaching and learning in the subdivision. He promised that all beneficiaries will conserve and effectively use the gifts to improve end-of-year results in the educational sector. In effect, the overhauling of the Nkolbission School Complex by CERAC started on July 28, and ended on September 30, 2017. During the process, CERAC revamped two main buildings of the school which host seven classrooms and rehabilitated five buildings which consist of 21 classrooms and two administrative blocks.
