Rail Transport: Cameroon-Switzerland Discuss Possibilities

The newly appointed Swiss Ambassador to Cameroon visited the Minister of Transport in Yaounde, October 30.

Cameroon is looking to tap from Switzerland’s internationally acclaimed expertise in rail transport. The Minister of Transport, Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo’o Monday October 30, presented to the Swiss Ambassador to Cameroon, opportunities which his country can explore in Cameroon’s rail transport sector. Ambassador Lazzari Pietro who is at the beginning of his diplomatic mission to Cameroon, was on a courtesy visit at the Transport Ministry.
“We discussed on possibilities of cooperation in the rail sector. I told the Minister we (Switzerland) have a great potential in this domain. Cameroon is facing great challenges and we are ready to offer our support,” the Swiss Diplomat told reporters shortly after the meeting.
