Below is a communique from the Minister of Higher Education.
The Minister of Higher Education, Chancellor of Academic Orders informs the national and international public opinion that the second consignment of the first contingent of the computers donated by His Excellency Paul BIYA, President of the Republic, Head of State to Cameroon Higher Education students (public and private) has been received at the Nsimalen International airport in Yaoundé, this December 25 2017 at 9:00am.
They are 40 000 laptops of the PB HEV model (Paul BIYA Higher Education Vision) which adds to the 40 000 received last December 22 2017, thus a total of 80 000 laptops as the first consignment. Each computer has an Intel 8350 Tom Z processor, with a Microsoft Windows 10 operating system and a 365 Microsoft Office software. The Minister of Higher Education shall launch the official distribution of these computers to students who are biometrically registered on Tuesday, December 26 2017 as from 11:00am in the University of Yaounde I.
On Wednesday, December 27 2017 as from 11:00am, a similar ceremony shall take place in the University of Yaounde II-Soa. Eligible students of the other six State Universities and Private Higher Education Institutes shall follow progressively, in respect to the regularity of the fabrication...
