Lionesses Leave For Mali Tomorrow

They are expected to play two friendly matches against the local side in preparation for the 2016 AFCON.

 

The Indomitable lionesses of Cameroon will leave for Mali tomorrow where they are expected to play two friendly matches against the local national selection on October 13 and 16th respectively. The encounters will serve as warm up for both teams who are qualified for the 2016 Women AFCON to take place in Cameroon from November 19th to December 3rd. Meanwhile the Lionesses who had been fine tuning training in Akono for their 6th training camp, last Saturday October 8th, played their fourth evaluation match against a local side, Atlantic of Mbankomo.

The match ended in a one-nil score in favour of the Lionesses. It is worthy to recall that the Lionesses played a 3-3 draw against Rain forest International school, pulled a 4-4 draw against the Giles Augustin Binya football academy and a zero-all tie against Espoir du Caire.

Prior to their departure for Mali, the Lionesses were reinforced by the arrival of Vanessa Siakam who plays for Tuksfootball Ladies of South Africa. The arrival of Tantoh Melvis Ngifor from Nigeria who was also expected before the journey to Mali is still awaited. The sick players have also recovered as the infirmary is now empty with Henriette Akaba, Therese Abena and Ngo Bato...
