Group A: Morocco, Sudan Move On

After two games both teams have secured their places in the second round of the competition.

Morocco and Sudan have qualified for the quarter finals of the ongoing 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco. Playing at the Mohamed V Stadium in Casablanca, both sides have recorded six points each after two playing days thus easing their way to the second round of the tournament.

In their first game Morocco beat Mauritania 4-0 to secure the top spot in Group A. In the second playing day, Morocco beat Guinea 3-1. Morocco’s goals were scored by El Kaabi.

He now has a total of five goals in the competition after just two games which equal the highest number of goals scored by a player in a CHAN tournament. Sudan on their part beat the Sily National of Guinea, 2-1 in their second outing on Wednesday January 17, 2018. In their first game they beat Mauritania 1-0.
