FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Qualifiers: Junior Lionesses In Cape Coast

They will play the return leg qualifier against the Black Princesses of Ghana on Sunday January 28, 2018.

The National Women's U-20 football team arrived in Cape Coast, Ghana, on Wednesday January 24, 2017 where they will play against the Black Princesses of Ghana at the Cape Coast Stadium. The team left early on Wednesday for Accra via Abidjan before travelling to Cape Coast some 165km from Accra.

The encounter will be the return leg qualifier for the last round of the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup on Sunday January 28, 2018. lt will be a crucial second leg tie as both sides will be seeking their qualification for the World Cup.

In the away leg in Yaounde on January 14, 2018, the Junior Lionesses were held to a 1-1 by the Black Princesses of Ghana. The Lionesses opened scores at the 11th minute through Alexandra Takounda but were caught up at the 52th minute when Ghana equalised through Priscilla Adubea. The Junior Lionesses will have to win Sunday's match in order to qualify for their first World Cup participation.
