MTN Elite One: Fetcheu FC Lords It All

The fourth playing day of the national football championship took place in the country on Sunday February 25, 2018.

Fetcheu FC of Djiko have now taken the lead on the classification table of the MTN Elite One championship. This was the result of the fourth playing day of the national football championship that took place in the country on Sunday February 25, 2018. Fetucheu FC played a 1-1 tie against Colombe of Lobo at the Yaounde Omnisports Annex Stadium Number One. With one additional point Fetcheu is now toping the classification table alone with eight points.

A total of nine matches were played, 12 goals scored and four draws recorded. What was particular on the fourth playing day was the return of some clubs that were involved in African competitions. Eding Sport FC of Lekié just back from an international competition beat Yaounde Football FC 2-1. Eding Sport now have two victories which have enabled the team to move up on the classification table.

Still in Yaounde, APEJES Academy played a 0-0 tie with Yong Sports Academy at the FECAFOOT Football Training Centre in Odza. In Bafang, Unisport Bafang beat New Stars Douala equally from an international competition 2-0 in their first match in the MTN Elite One championship this season.

In Melong Stade Renard played a 0-0 tie with Aigle of Menoua while in Loum, UMS of Loum beat Fovu of Baham 1-0. It was the second conservative victory for UMS Loum at home this season.
