2018 WAFCON: Indomitable Lionesses In Cape Coast

After they lost against Nigeria in the semi-final on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 the players are now focused on qualifying for the World Cup.

The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon are in Cape Coast in the Centre Region of Ghana where they will play the third-place play-off against Mali on Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Cape Stadium. After they lost 2-4 after penalty kicks against the Super Falcons of Nigeria in the semi-final on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 the players are now focused on qualifying for the 2019 World Cup in France. The team and officials left Accra yesterday, November 28, 2018 at 10 a.m. local time for Cape Coast where they will begin with preparations. They were accompanied by the Inspector General of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, Dissake Mbarga Michel.

Prior to their departure, some Cameroonian journalists and others from foreign media houses as well as fans and sympathisers of the Indomitable Lionesses were at the Alisa Hotel Residence of the Lionesses to bid them goodbye. Shortly before departure, one could see the players and officials coming out of the hotel with their luggage ready for take-off.
