Mount Cameroon Race: Ndungeh Simplice Wins Test Race

He finished the race in 2h:26’ among the 156 athletes that were on the starting block on Saturday January 19, 2019.

Rehearsal for the 24 edition of the Mount Cameroon Race of Hope to take place in Buea on February 23, 2019, has taken place last January 19, 2019 in the city of Buea. Ndungeh Simplice went up the mountain and came back in two hours 26 minutes.

The second position went to Lambi Elijah Kangha who was 10 minutes behind the winner. Lyonga Essombe Samuel made it third on a record time of two hours 41 minutes. The winners came out from 156 athletes that left the starting block at the Molyko Omnisport Stadium at 7:20 am on Saturday.

The Secretary General of South West Athletic League, Nlemba Roger indicated that all the participants are from all the regions of Cameroon. Sitting for South West Regional Governor, Tangwa Stepanus Lendzemo said that the race is to promote national unity and solidarity.
