First Cabinet Meeting: All Set To Work

Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute chaired his first cabinet meeting in Yaounde on January 31, 2019.

The first cabinet meeting after the appointment of the new government on January 4, 2019 is over but its memories remain for the new Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute who chaired such a meeting for the first time and the new ministers appointed into government. The curiosity and excitement that marked the cabinet meeting was perceptible as all ministers arrived the sixth floor of the Prime Minister’s Office on time and got seated in the Cabinet Meeting hall as they waited for the arrival of the Prime Minister.

It was an occasion for them to chat and share information, especially as it was the second time the ministers were meeting this month after the Council of Minister’s Meeting of January 16, 2019. Curious too was the press that did not want to miss any step of the meeting. The high moment then came at 10:00 a.m. when Prime Minister, Dion Ngute got into the cabinet meeting hall, shock hands with some senior ministers and took his seat amidst a standing ovation. He allowed the press to shoot images and take photos before the solemn part of the event started with his opening statement.
