Limbe: Moral Campaign Launched For Women’s AFCON

The Minister of Youths Affair and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou, carried out the launch.

 

The 2016 Women’s African Football Cup of Nations, AFCON, is around the corner. In order to ensure good conduct during the competition in Limbe, the Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou, on November 9, 2016, launched “Operation Citizenship and Patriotic Women’s AFCON” to raise morals amongst the population.

Speaking at the Manga William Avenue in Limbe, the Minister said the campaign is to sensitize the population of Limbe and Buea on citizenship acts that he said must be carried out at all times in all places, circumstances, voluntarily and spontaneously. The aim being to raise public morality as well as preserve unity and national integration. The slogans of the campaign include: “No aggression,” “No rape,” “No theft,” “No feymanism,” “No urban disorder,” and “No fraudulent deals before, during and after AFCON.”

Mounouna Foutsou said during AFCON, Cameroonians will be expected to present an exemplary nation to Africa and the world at large. He urged the people to be models of citizenship, patriotism and enhancement of the brand image of Cameroon.
