Cocoa Processing: National Cocoa Academy Trainees Learn Italian Recipes

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has organised a training course for youths at the National Cocoa Academy in the South Region, during which the learners were taught a variety of Italian recipes in cocoa processing. They received end-of- course certificates in a ceremony held in Yaounde on May 14 under the auspices of Minister Gabriel Mbairobe.
The beneficiaries of the training programme were taught by a renowned Italian chocolate manufacturer, Mirco Della Veccha, Chief Executive Officer of the Italian Chocolate Factory which is said to have over 300 customers on its supply chain in 30 countries worldwide. Gideon Ntenga Chebe, one of the trainees who read a speech on behalf of his peers, disclosed that the Italian expert after the training, promised to help them market the chocolate products they would produce in Cameroon.
