CERDEPS Drills Women On Sports Management

A two day seminar to this effect began yesterday in IRIC and will end today.

 

As part of its contribution towards Cameroon’s hosting of the 2016 women AFCON, the Centre for studies in law, economy and sports politics, CERDEPS, in partnership with IRIC and INJS, organized a two-day colloquium on women and sports governance at the campus of the school of international relations in Yaounde. Opening the colloquium, the Minister of Women Empowerment and the Family, Marie Therese Abena Ondoa said the colloquium on the theme “Women, society and sports governance in Africa” is important as it evokes the relationship between women and sports.

She disclosed that it was with this in mind that the ministry created the Louves-Minproff football club which won the feminine football Cup this year. She said the club supplies players to the female national selection as well as some clubs in the elite championship.
