Corps é Gestes : Festival For International Dancers Raps Off

From October 23 - 28, 2019, the international performers of modern dance learned more practices of the profession.

Monday, October 28, 2019, marked the end of the dance festival organized by the ‘Corps é Gestes’ association in accordance with its mission of encouraging the promotion and vulgarization of modern dance, international meetings and creative dance, and in partnership with the Ministry of Art and Culture (MINAC). The festival for the international gathering of dance, creation and performance went on for seven days from October 23 - 28, 2019 under the theme: “Bâtissons Ensembles”. The festival held in different cultural centers in Yaounde like; French Institute of Cameroon (L’IFC), Goethe-institute and Cameroon Cultural Center (CCC). Participants at the festival came from Cameroon, Nigeria, France, Spain, Congo and Chad.
The festival was aimed at promoting professional exchange between dancers and choreographers so as not only to enhance their performance, but also to help them know the techniques of other participants.  It also centered on the improvement of capacities and amelioration of the living standards of dancers and their methods, and the award of prizes as encouragement for their efforts of creativity. The festival had as target everyone present during the one week of show, projections, tourism and many more.
