South Korea: president Park Geun-hye Willing To Resign
South Korea’s President, Park Geun-hye, says she has asked Parliament to help her find a way of standing down, the BBC reported yesterday, November 29, 2016. “I will leave to Parliament everything about my future, including shortening of my term,” Park Geun-hye said, adding that she did not want to leave a power vacuum. Parliament is due to discuss on Friday, December 2, 2016, if she should face impeachment. President Park Geun-hye has faced growing calls to resign amid an investigation into whether she allowed a long-time friend to influence political decisions for personal gain.
