Edea : Electors Performed Civic Responsibility

Members of the electoral college turned out and voted their candidates.

It was   in calm and serenity that municipal councilors and traditional leaders turned out in their numbers to cast their votes in the first ever regional elections organized in Cameroon. As early as 6: am December 6, 2020 in Edea, Elections Cameroon officials were seen in the lone polling centre putting things in order to ensure that all goes well. At GBHS Edea, which was the lone polling station in the the Sanaga-maritime Division, there were six polling centres whereby 616 voters were expected to cast their votes.
Out of the six polling centers, three were meant for the traditional leaders. Here, tradition was respected as all the polling centers were decorated and dressed up in a purely traditional styles. By 9:30 am in GBHS Edea, over 200 voters had already cast their votes.
As per statistics from the chief of agency of ELECAM in Edea, Ngo Ballog Marie Thérèse, out of the 616 voters, 351 were traditional rulers out of which three were women. Meanwhile, 265 municipal councilo...
