National Handball Championship : Struggle For Leadership Intensifies

The clubs continued the battle during the fifth day of the competition played across the national territory over the weekend.

The first phase of National Handball Championship in Cameroon is gradually ending following some Day 5 matches played across the country on Saturday January 16, 2021. The tussle of who will get to the next stage of the competition was felt on the pitch looking at the performances of the different clubs.
In the Men’s category, DUC of Dschang trashed University of Douala 26 goals to 16 meanwhile Dreamsport was beaten by YUC of Yaounde 28 goals to 27. On its part, Phoenix Douala threatened to flaw the tough FANZ of Yaounde but rather ended up with 22 goals as against 24 scored by FANZ. Phoenix’s tough performance did not come as a surprise given that their outings since the beginning of the competition have been remarkable. Still in the Men’s category, FAP Yaounde succeeded to overcome the never tiring MINUH side with 25 goals against 22 in Yaounde.
