Junior Chamber International: Cameroon Eyes International Vice Presidency

The candidate for this year’s elections in South Africa was presented to the media in Yaounde on March 12, 2021.

Cameroon’s Kouatcha Simo Flavien will on November 7, 2021 in Johannesburg, South Africa attempt to grab one of the four international vice president positions of Junior Chamber International, JCI. The conference, which brings together 4,000 youth entrepreneur leaders from all over the world, includes elections of the executive for a one-year tenure. With over 200,000 members from five continents aged between 18 and 40 years, Junior Chamber International is today the largest youth organisation accredited to the United Nations

"If elected JCI International Vice President, I will give more visibility to Cameroon by lobbying for the hosting JCI international events. We want to sell Cameroon, its tourism and talents,” the youth entrepreneur promised. For a start, he says he will sell the African Nations Cup, AFCON to be hosted by Cameroon in January 2022 to the 4,000 delegates at the Johannesburg JCI international conference in November. Other aspects of his manifesto include continuing work with the Cameroon National Youth Council and training youth volunteers to add value to their skills.
