Buea Penitentiary School To Intensify Discipline

Their 28th Board of Directors met last weekend to review the ending year and make projections.

 

The Buea-based National School for Penitentiary Administration (French acronym, ENAP) will henceforth reinforce its internal discipline with the severest hand.
This was one of the resolutions arrived at during its 28th Ordinary session of the Board of Directors of the School under the chairmanship of Mr. Jerome Doh Penbaga, Secretary of State in charge of Penitentiary Administration at the Ministry of Justice representing the Minister. Other resolutions reached included the reinforcement of training and safety within the context of the sociopolitical environment.

Also, the Board registered satisfaction with the running of the School under Mrs Fonkem Immaculate, Administrator General of Prisons. The ENAP-Buea trains personnel of Cameroon and neighbouring Countries to man prisons. The 28th Board was meeting amid a school population of 549 including students and trainees. Students are those making their debut in penitentiary administration of all grades and trainees are field officers who have come back to school for another grade as such retraining.
