Assassination of Jovenel Mois : Christian Sanon Is The Prime Suspect

The 63-year-old man of Haitian nationality is said to have masterminded the assassination.
Haitian police have made public the name of the man behind the assassination of President Jovenel Moise. Christian Emmanuel Sanon, a medical doctor of Haitian nationality but based in Florida is said to have recruited the gunmen who assassinated President Jovenel Moise on July 7, 2021. According to Leon Charles, Director General of Haitian National Police, 63-year-old Christian Emmanuel Sanon “who had political objectives” entered Haiti on a private plane in June accompanied by several Colombians, according to details provided at a press conference, “The plan A of the mission was to arrest the President, with aid within and out of the country, but the plan later turned into a tragedy when the 28-member hit squad burst into Moise's family home and opened fire on him and his wife, Martine.” Charles explained.
The Police boss added that, no police officers were injured during the operations to arrest the Colombian alleged mercenaries, three of whom were killed in the process. “When we (the police), blocked the progress of these bandits after they committed their crime, the first person that one of the assailants called was Christian Emmanuel Sanon,” he reiterated. AFP reports that since the assassination, eighteen Colombian citizens have been arrested and during interrogating, the Haitian police learned that Sanon had recruited another 26 team members via a Florida-based Venezuelan security company named CTU.
