Defence Forces: Over 300 Soldiers Receive Specialised Training

End-of-course testimonials were handed over to laureates yesterday in Yaounde.

 

A total of 311 sub-officers and men from different corps of the Armed Forces including the National Gendarmerie, have concluded a 20-week specialised training at the Yaounde-based Defence Forces Specialists Training Centre (CISA). The soldiers received end-of-course testimonials yesterday January 4, 2017, during a ceremony chaired by Colonel Thomas Embit, representing the Commander of Schools and Military Training Centres. The soldiers were trained in four different specialities; notably ammunition, artificer, accounting and building construction.

In the lone speech at the event delivered by the representative of the trainees, the soldiers expressed their satisfaction with the quality of training under the leadership of Navy Captain, Valentin Yves Awouma Meye, Commander of CISA.  The trainees’ spokesperson stated that the centre has completely transformed them.
