Agriculture and Rural Development : Priority To Food, Cash Crops Production

The draft budgetary allocation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MINADER) for the 2022 financial year stands at FCFA 88.642 billion.


The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Gabriel Mbairobe in the Committee on Finance and Budget of the National Assembly on November 30, 2021, presented the draft budgetary allocation of the Ministry for the 2022 financial year that stands at FCFA 88.642 billion. Broken down, FCFA 24.071 will serve as the operating costs and FCFA 64.571 billion as the investment costs. 
The Minister explained that following government instructions, much of the resources will in priority be used to boost the production in sub-sectors such as rice, maize, cocoa, coffee, sorghum, cotton, cashew and market gardening.
