Communication : Priority On Optimal Media Content

Minister Rene Emmanuel Sadi yesterday December 2, 2021 at the National Assembly highlighted the principal areas the allocated budget of FCFA four billion 348 million will target.

Communication Minister, Rene Emmanuel Sadi on December 2, 2021 defended his financial allocation of FCFA four billion 348 million before the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly. The Minister explained to the committee members how the budget (running and investment) will be used for realising three major programmes revolving around optimal communication and the image branding of the country. 
The first programme which entails increasing population’s access to media content, Minister Sadi explained, will focus on the contribution of the State to the emergence of a viable, responsible and civic-minded media sector. Other actions within the programme as explained by the Minister include the improvement of the devices and performance of State channels for the production, dissemination and reception of information, the regulation of the advertising sub-sector and facilitation of the emergence of economically viable advertising enterprises that create jobs and wealth, intensification of social networks and ICTs, and media monitoring and opinion survey.
