U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers: Lionesses Finalise Preparations

Some 25 players have been selected to represent the country in the double encounter against Eritrea next month.

The U17 women’s national team will face Eritrea in a double confrontation game counting for the upcoming 2022 FIFA U17 World Cup in India. Cameroon will play against Eritrea on March 1 for the away game and 5, 2022 for the return leg. Ahead of the challenge, the head coach Stéphane Ndzana has published a final list of 25 players who will defend the colours of the country in the competition. On the list are four goalkeepers, eight defenders, seven midfielders and six attackers. The final list comes up after some players were selected from some local clubs and brought to camp by Coach Stéphane Ndzana for the detection at the Omnisports Annex Stadium Number One.
The final training camp began on February 17 and will run till March 5, 2022. The players are training at the CAF Excellence Centre in Mbankomo. Coach Stéphane Ndzana and the players are working out winning strategies in order to secure a ticket for the World Cup.
