Organisers Step Up Preparations

The first preparatory meeting took place at the conference room of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education yesterday March 10, 2022.


Two days to the final of the 60th edition of the Cup of Cameroon and the handing over of trophies to cup winners of the different sports disciplines, preparations have reached high gear in the country. The Cup of Cameroon final equally marks the end of the sports season in Cameroon. It is in this light that the first preparatory meeting took place in Yaounde yesterday March 10, 2022. The meeting brought together members of the different sub committees in charge of the organisation as well as representatives of partner ministries.  Also present at the meeting was the Governor of the Centre Region, Naseri Paul Bea. 
Speaking at the opening, the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi called on the heads of the different sub committees to put in their expertise in order to ensure the best feast. The different committee heads took turns to present the level of preparations in their committees. The Coordinator of the Mfandena Stadium, Timothée Mete said the Yaounde Omnisports Stadium that will host the event is ready. He said what is left is preparing the playground and ensuring that the stadium functions well so that all the 40, 000 visitors invited will have a pleasant stay in the stadium. 
As for the competition committee, the Vice President of FECAFOOT, Celine Eko said the institution has taken the necessary measures to ensure that everything is set for the final.
