Human Rights Commission : Rules Of Procedure Adopted

The draft instrument was reviewed and adopted during an extraordinary general assembly session in Yaounde on March 30, 2022.

The Cameroon Human Rights Commission henceforth has its Rules of Procedure, an indispensable working instrument that constitutes a great step within the framework of the regulatory functioning of the Commission.
The draft Rules of Procedure were reviewed and adopted during an extraordinary general assembly session of the Commission presided at by its Chairperson, Professor James Mouangue Kobila in Yaounde on March 30, 2022. During the opening ceremony of the session, he said the instrument will inject clarity in their work and hoped that henceforth, with it, there will be more transparency, objectivity and effectiveness in their work.  According to Prof. Mouangue Kobila, the adoption of the Rules of Procedure will be a decisive step in the effective putting in place of the Commission whose members were appointed by the decree of the President of the Republic, Paul Biya on February 19, 2021. The members started work when they took the oath of office at the Supreme Court on April 29, 2021.
