Promotion Of Talents: Oyebog Tennis Tournament Kicks Off In Souza

Winner in the men’s and women’s open will receive FCFA 600,000 each.

Players from 36 countries have begun taking part in a tennis tournament in Souza in the Moungo Division of the Littoral Region of Cameroon that will run through three weeks. The tournament baptised “Open Neptune International” and organised by Oyebog Tennis Academy (OTA) under the Cameroon Tennis Federation and the International Tennis Federation kicked off on March 29, 2022 on the outskirts locality of Kake in Souza. The objective is to promote and professionalise tennis in Cameroon and internationally by encouraging various partners and sponsors to invest more in the organisation of national, continental and international competitions.
The tournament will go into the weekend of second and third of April where veterans and interclub, which regroups all the clubs in the ten regions of the country. There will be children category of 7-10 years and 10-12 years as well as two of International Tennis Federation (ITF) which regroups those from 13-18 years. The participants include over 20 OTA youths.
