Elite One : Canon Yaounde Unstoppable

Canon of Yaounde has remained unstoppable this season. The Yaounde-based club beat Union Sportive of Douala 1-0 in one of the day five matches that took place at the Yaounde Military Stadium on Saturday April 2, 2022. Thousands of supporters turned out to watch the encounter at the Yaounde Military Stadium. Last Saturday’s encounter was the top match of the fifth playing day of the Elite One championship. Many fans who went to the stadium on Saturday dreamt of seeing Canon being brought down as they have remained unstoppable since the start of the season.
It was a grueling encounter as the two sides were bent on carrying the three points of the day. 

Union Douala began the game well dominating the game and had several scoring chances but they squandered them. Canon put up a strong resistance and equally had some opportunities but lost them. The first half ended on a 0-0 score margin. On resumption, Canon Yaounde came up stronger and putting pressure on their opponents.
