AS Lausanne and Aigle Royal have taken the lead in the Elite Two championship.  This is the outcome of the second part of day one matches of the championship that took place on Sunday April 3, 2022 in stadiums across the country. After the kick off in Douala on March 26, 2022, the battle for leadership has begun. The different teams are giving their best to ease their way to the superior league next season. A total of five matches were played with nine goals scored and one draw. Out of that number, four were away goals and five were scored at home. From the results of the first day, it is clear that the Elite Two championship will be highly competitive this season.
In Group A, AS Lausanne of Yaounde beat Dynamo Douala 2-0 at the Japoma Annex Stadium Number Two in Douala. It was the first victory for the Yaounde Club side that is joining the professional football league for the first time. Still in group A, another newly promoted team, Gazelle FA of Garoua, beat Stade 1-0 at the Bertoua Municipal Stadium. The match between AS Matelots and Lion Blessé was postponed to a later date. In group B, AS Leopard Douala beat AS FAP 2-0, Unisport Bafang played a 0-0 tie with Bafut Rangers and Aigle Royal beat Ngaoundere University 2-1.
