Priority To Field Work

The campaigners for massive voters registration will use diverse practical methods to lure Cameroonians of voting age to enrol their names in the electoral registers.

Members of the platform, “Together for Cameroon”, on April 14, 2022 in Yaounde launched the pilot phase of the campaign to ensure massive registration in the electoral registers with the target of at least 15 million registered voters by 2025 when elections of Municipal Councillors, Members of the National Assembly and President of the Republic are expected in Cameroon.
The young leaders of the seven member political parties have opted for an inclusive strategy in which they have to work in synergy with the elections management body Elections Cameroon (ELECAM), willing political parties and civil society organisations working in the domains of the promotion of democracy, transparent electoral process, human rights, as well as peace and development. Their target is Cameroonians of voting age of 20 years and particularly youths between 20 to 35 years. The member political parties:  Front of Cameroonian Democrats (FDC), Liberators, Cameroon Renaissance Movement (CRM), Cameroonian Party for National Reconciliation (PCRN), Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM), Social Democratic Front (SDF) and Union des populations du Cameroun (UPC) are out for the campaign that has no political colour but credible electoral process in Cameroon.
The practical methods they have chosen consist of educative talks on the entire electoral process starting from registration, to effective vote casting and the post –electoral processes.
