U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers : Lionesses Prepare For Decisive Encounter

Some 25 players are fine-tuning their skills in Yaounde ahead of the return leg qualifier against Zambia on April 30, 2022.

The U17 Lionesses of Cameroon will take on Shepolopo of Zambia on April 30, 2022 at the Yaounde Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium. The match will be the return leg of the second round qualifier for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in India. Ahead of the encounter, the head coach, Stéphane Ndzana Ngono has published a list of 25 players who will defend the colours of Cameroon in the match. On Coach Stéphane Ndzana’s list are four goalkeepers, eight defenders, seven midfielders and six attackers. 
The players began intensive training at the Presidential Guard Sports Complex in Obili, Yaounde on April 19, 2022. Training takes place twice daily under the supervision of Coach Stephane Ndzana. The coach and the players are working out winning strategies in order to ensure the best performance in the competition. Less than two weeks to the competition, it is time to correct the mistakes of the away leg and make necessary adjustments. As part of the preparation the U17 Lionesses will play friendly matches with some local clubs before the match againt Zambia.
