The Minister of Water Resources and Energy inaugurated Cameroon’s 13th filling plant in Yaounde on January 25, 2017
The little locality of Afanoyoa I in the Yaounde III sub-division, Centre Region, is the latest to host a domestic gas filling plant. It is the 13th operator in domestic gas distribution the country boosts of up from six in 2000 before the liberalisation of the sector in 2001. The Green Oil Gaz filling plant, was inaugurated on January 25, by the Minister of Water Resources and Energy, Basile Atangana Kouna, in the company of his peer of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Technological Development, Ernest Gbwaboubou.
The FCFA 3.5 billion project of Guillaume Mbakam Chougha, Managing Director of Green Oil, now furnishes households in Yaounde with minimum 5,000 gas cylinders daily from its ultra-modern filling station. With over 40,000 gas cylinders in circulation, the businessman is hoping for 100,000 by March 25, 2017.
