Cameroon-BDEAC: Major Cooperation Projects Discussed

The Development Bank of Central African States (BDEAC) is currently intervening in four major projects in Cameroon

 

The outgoing representative of the Development Bank of Central African States (BDEAC) to Cameroon, Beringar Maina says the bank is currently funding four major projects in Cameroon, one in the power supply sector and three in integration roads domain.
He spoke to the press at the Ministry of External Relations on January 27, 2017 after a farewell audience granted him by the Minister Delegate at the Ministry of External Relations in charge of Relations with the Islamic World Adoum Gargoum. Talking specifically about the projects, he said BDEAC is participating in the funding of the Lom-Pangar hydroelectricity dam project in the East Region. As for integration roads, he cited the ongoing work at the Kumba-Mamfe road in the South West Region leading towards neighbouring Nigeria, Batchenga-Ntui-Yoko road towards the Adamawa Regional headquarters, Ngaoundere  that when completed will shorten the Douala- N’Djamena road corridor by 200 kilometres.
